Ken Smith, from Mesa, AZ, was born into a military family. Growing up in a military family allowed him to travel the world and experience what other countries have to offer. At age 17, he graduated high school and immediately joined the United States Navy.
Ken’s first duty station upon completing boot camp was Norfolk, VA on the USS Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71. As an ABE ( Aviation Boatswain’s mate Equipment) Launch and Recovery Specialist, Ken enjoyed his time on the aircraft carrier serving alongside his older brother Chad.
Ken has not only served his country at ports of call, but he was deployed two different times to the Persian Gulf. His first deployment was in support of air operations for Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) in Afghanistan. His second deployment was in support of air operations in Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). During this deployment to the Persian Gulf on board USS John F. Kennedy CV-67, we provided air support in the second battle of Falluja during Operation Phantom Fury. Over the course of his Military career, Ken completed 5 deployments and over 10 years sea time.
Since retiring from the Navy, Ken has found a passion for woodworking. As a result, yep you guessed it, this passion has led to the creation of United American Vets LLC and more importantly the Freedom Box and Freedom Wall Art Decor. These works of art represents his love for the Veteran community, our First Responders, and the second amendment.
Frank joined the United States Navy in August 1991, and attained the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer. He severed aboard 4 different Aircraft Carriers, 1 Amphibious Assault Ship, as well with the 82nd Airborne “All American” in Afghanistan. Frank completed over 10 deployments throughout his 25 year Naval Career.
Post-retirement, Frank enjoys family time with his Wife and four Children. His other pastimes are supporting his Country, drinking awesome coffee, and pre-dawn test fires of his guns. Why you may ask? Frank is a big supporter of the 2nd Amendment and the freedom this affords him, his neighbors, and all Americans.
